Frequently asked questions

The questions people actually send us before they order, and the ones they send in the first month afterwards. Written by the engineers who would have to answer them again anyway. Where the honest answer is no, it says no.

Nothing here replaces the terms, the refund policy or the privacy notice. If an answer below and a document disagree, the document is the one that binds us, and we would like to know so we can fix the answer.

Prefer to just ask?

An engineer answers, not a script. Most replies land the same working day, and all of them within one.

Ordering and payment

8 questions

Do I need an account to order?

No. You choose plans, enter your company details at checkout and pay. Instead of a login you get a personal order page at a permanent address, which shows what you bought and the provisioning stage.

Which payment methods work?

Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), BLIK and Przelewy24. Payment happens on our payment provider's secure page; card details never touch this site.

Are prices really final?

Yes. Every price on the site is for twelve months with tax included. The only things that add to it are add-ons you tick yourself.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

For orders above €2.000 we can arrange a transfer — write to us before ordering. Online payment is the standard route because provisioning starts immediately.

Can I buy several plans at once?

Yes. The cart takes any combination of plans and add-ons, and everything is provisioned together after a single payment.

What happens straight after payment?

You are sent to your personal order page, whose address is permanent, and a confirmation reaches your inbox. The order goes to an engineer the same working day. Nothing further is needed from you unless we have to ask for DNS or access to an old server.

Is there a free trial?

No. Every environment is built by an engineer rather than started from a template, so there is nothing to hand out unattended. Instead we answer sizing questions before you buy, and any order cancelled before provisioning starts is refunded in full.

Can I get a quote for something that is not in the catalogue?

Yes. Colocation, custom network designs, larger storage pools and long-term managed operations are agreed individually. Describe the workload and an engineer replies with questions first and a written quote after.

Provisioning and delivery

6 questions

How long does provisioning take?

Within 24 hours on working days for hosting, VPS, CDN and storage plans. Dedicated hardware and private cloud take one to three working days because a machine is built and burned in for you.

What arrives in the welcome email?

Panel address and credentials, server IP or hostnames, SSH or SFTP details, DNS records to set, backup schedule and the name of the engineer who built the environment.

Can you migrate my current site or server?

Yes. Hosting plans include migrating existing sites; server plans include help with data and configuration. The process is described on the migration page and the old environment stays reachable for a week as a rollback.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

Tell us within the first month. We move you to the right plan and settle the difference; if the new plan is cheaper we credit the remainder against the next period.

Which operating systems can I have?

Ubuntu LTS, Debian, Rocky Linux and Windows Server on the plans that come with root access. Managed hosting and managed WordPress run on our own tuned Linux stack and are not selectable. Ask if you need something that is not on that list and we will say plainly whether we can support it.

Can I bring my own licence?

Where the vendor allows a transfer, yes: control panel, Windows Server and database licences you already hold can be applied to your environment. Where you have none we buy at cost and state the amount before you order.

Still not sure

Half of these answers start with "it depends on your stack"

If you are weighing two plans, or you are not certain the thing you run will fit on the one you were about to buy, send us the shape of it: the framework, the database, the traffic on a bad day. We will tell you which plan fits, and we will tell you when the cheaper one is enough.

Running the service

7 questions

Do I get root access?

On VPS, dedicated and private-cloud plans, yes. Shared hosting and managed WordPress are administered through the panel, because the isolation that keeps neighbours safe depends on us holding root.

Who applies updates?

We patch the hypervisor, the operating system of managed plans, panels and our own tooling. On plans with root access you own what you install on top; we can take that over as a managed agreement.

What are the backups exactly?

Daily backups with 30-day retention on hosting plans, weekly snapshots on VPS, daily with off-site copies on dedicated and private cloud. The Backup & Object Storage plan adds immutable retention that even we cannot delete before the period ends.

Is there a control panel?

Hosting plans use a standard hosting panel with file manager, databases, mail and one-click SSL. Server plans get a panel for power, console, snapshots, networking and firewall rules.

Can I run Windows?

Yes on VPS and dedicated plans. Licensing is billed at cost and stated before you order.

Do you offer email hosting?

Mailboxes come with the hosting plans and are set up together with the domain and the DNS zone. On server plans we can install and configure a mail server for you. We do not host bulk or marketing mail sending.

What if I outgrow the plan during the year?

Tell us and we move you up. The amount already paid is credited in full against the larger plan, so you pay only the difference. Growing a little rather than a lot is usually an add-on instead: extra storage, another IP address, off-site backups.

Support

4 questions

How do I reach you?

By email, by the form on this site, and by callback on Growth and Scale plans. Enterprise Private Cloud includes an on-call engineer around the clock. Every plan has a first-response target listed on the support page.

Do you fix my application code?

We keep the platform healthy and will point at the cause when an application misbehaves. Development work is a separate engagement, quoted before anything starts.

What happens during maintenance?

Planned work is announced at least five working days in advance and scheduled outside business hours in Central European Time. Emergency security work happens sooner and is explained afterwards.

Do we always speak to the same engineer?

The engineer who built your environment is named in the welcome email and handles planned work on it. Day-to-day tickets go to whoever is on duty, because queueing behind one person makes answers slower rather than better. Kubernetes Platform includes a named engineer, and Enterprise Private Cloud an on-call engineer around the clock.

Billing, renewal and data

7 questions

What happens after twelve months?

We write a month before the end with a renewal link at the price valid then. Nothing renews automatically and no card is stored for a future charge.

Can I get a refund?

Before provisioning starts, in full. Afterwards the pro-rata rules on the provisioning and refunds page apply.

Where is my data?

Inside the European Union: production, backups and the replication target. Nothing is copied to another region without a written agreement.

Can I get a data-processing agreement?

Yes, on request, before or after ordering. The privacy notice sets out roles and categories of recipients.

How do I leave?

Ask, and we hand over a full copy of your data in a usable format — archives for files, dumps for databases, images for virtual machines. There is no exit fee.

Who owns the data I store?

You do. We claim no rights over it, we do not analyse it and we do not use it to train anything. We hold it as processor on your instructions, and you can ask for a copy or for its deletion at any time.

What happens if I do not renew?

A plan is paid once for twelve months, so there is no instalment to miss. If you do not take the renewal offer, the service ends when the term ends and the data is kept for 30 days before deletion. Ask inside that window and we hand over a full copy.
